Our New Rocking Chair

Denver and I went yard selling with Brooklyn a few weeks ago and we found this rocking chair for ten dollars. It definitely needed some work done to it, so Denver and I sanded and refinished it.

Lake Mary & Blue Ridge Reservoir

Early Saturday morning, instead of our alarm clock, one of Denver's mission buddies called us to ask if we wanted to go wake boarding on Lake Mary. Of course we said yes! We were planning on going to Blue Ridge Reservoir anyways so we decided to do both. We started the morning wakeboarding. It was Denver's first time and he did soo good! He got up his second try just like me, my first time.

Beautiful Lake Mary.

After we ate lunch with the group, Denver and I headed off to Blue Ridge Reservoir.

After our romantic afternoon at Blue Ridge, Denver promised me that we would go and eat at the cafe. He has told me countless stories about eating there while working on the ranch during the summer. The food was great and we had so much fun just enjoying the moment together.

The 4th of July

We had the opportunity to go to the Alder Reunion and the Finch Reunion's over the 4th of July this year. For the Alder Reunion, we stayed in Greer at the Greer Lodge. Denver and I had a nice comfy king size bed where we shared a cabin with Matt, Mitch and Hayley and the Boys, which was connected to my parents cabin. Our room was upstairs next to Mitch and Hayley's so we got to spend quality time with them late at night when nobody else could!

We went fishing at Sheep's Crossing.

Jack and I enjoying the moment.

The Finch Reunion was up at Mexican Hay Lake this year. We got to see a lot of family there that we hadn't seen in a long time. Bill and Sandy were in charge of it this year and they planned a bunch of fun games and activities. There was a talent show where Grandma and Grandpa bore their testimonies and talked about our heritage.

Blake, Megan, and I at the talent show.

The beautiful sunset in the meadow.

The husbands and wives competed in a horse shoe tournament. That's me getting ready to throw it.

Kiah and Megan caught frogs while the men were cowboy golfing. Here is Kiah with her 6 frogs that she caught near the water.

Look at that Stud! (Meg wrote that)

Denver and I made a jean quilt for his Dad. It was a really late Christmas-Father's Day-Birthday present.

Wicked!

After the 4th of July we got to meet my family down in the valley to watch Wicked. We got to stay and the Arizona Grand Resort for the night and the next morning we got to swim at the water park. Sorry we didn't get any pictures of that. We had a blast getting together with family and spending time with them.

The 24th of July

Denver and I got to go down and visit my family for the 24th Celebration this year. We got down there late Friday night and missed the rodeo but I heard that my nephew Porter competed in the Stick Horse Race. It was so cute hearing my dad tell the story. He said that Porter's horse was acting up in the shoot and so he scratched. Dang horse! We also heard that my cousin Ian also won a pig. The competition was who could catch a slimy pig gets to take it home. Lucky Aunt Becky!

Then on Saturday Denver and I woke up early and caught a ride with my parents to their ward breakfast. These are our "just woke up" pictures. It was really hot that morning...

We are getting the Internet!

Sorry we don't have pictures again this time because I'm at work, but we will be updating soon with pictures because we are GETTING THE INTERNET! Yay! Last few blogs that we did, we were in Thatcher visiting my parents and we used their internet to update. Here in a few days we will have our own internet and a newer faster computer for everything. Denver and I have really had a blast spending our first summer together! In May we were so busy with visiting family. We went to Riley and Bentley's blessings and hung out in Thatcher. We got to stay home the whole month of June to catch up on things at home. Then this month we went to Greer and Mexican Hay Lake for the Alder and Finch Family Reunions over the Fouth of July which were so much fun! Denver and I are getting ready to start school in the fall. It's going to be hard getting back into groove of things for school. I took a semester off last spring and now its time to buckle down and finish school. I have finally decided on finishing my Elementary Education Major in Science. I kept on changing my major left and right and that put me 3 semesters behind! I should have graduated last May! But with this decision I should graduate in May of 2011! YAY! I will be posting more as soon as we get internet WITH PICTURES!

I almost got a mustache!

Sorry this post doesn't have a picture to go with it. Maybe one of these days I'll upload the pictures from my camera. Denver and I were sitting on our couch last night making up our menu for the next two weeks and we were trying to come up with meals that would be more efficient with what we had in the kitchen already. I had bought some chicken from Fry's that is already precooked and all you have to do is bake it or microwave it. I have one more Teriyaki breast and a few Lemon Pepper breasts left. Denver had the idea that we could have chicken and rice. That was a great idea but normally you have teriyaki chicken with your rice but the lemon chicken would be fine to eat with it too. I was going to be a sweet wife and let Denver have the last teriyaki breast and I told him that that's what we were going to do for next Wednesday. He, of course, wasn't going to let that happen so he started to write on our menu that I was to have the teriyaki breast. I didn't want him to write that because I don't want the teriyaki breast! So when he was writing that I started bumping the pen and messing him up...he told me that if I kept doing that, he was going to draw a mustache on me. I kept doing it.....so he tried holding my arms down and drawing on my upper lip but was unsuccessful! We went back to the menu and tried to come up with more meals but I started messing with the pen again to see if he would really draw on my face. Then it started a wrestling match! It was so much fun! Denver won the wrestling but I won by not getting any pen on my face! Denver just couldn't write on his ever so sweet wife! Hahaha....he is really the sweetheart! I love that guy! What really happened was when he WAS writing on my face...the pen wasn't open and ready to write. I'm so thankful for Denver and the sweet man he is! He is always helping me with laundry, dishes, vacuuming, making the bed, and everything else! He is truly my best friend and I don't know what I would do without him! Thank you so much for making life a fun and great adventure!
