Houston's Blessing

Denver and I got to go down to the valley for sweet, little Houston's blessing. I feel bad I didn't get any pictures of Houston in her precious, blessing dress or a picture of her and her family. But I did get a picture of her and Brooklyn. I was so excited, Houston posed just perfect for the shot!

Here are a couple of pictures of the family there. We were all there except Blake, Martha, and Riley. We sure missed you guys!

No I'm kidding! I wish!
Matt let Denver and I take this sweet ride around the block, our first time driving a mustang.

Branding at the Ranch

Denver and I were all packed and ready to go to Mesa for the weekend when Denver received a call from his dad. He asked if we could go to the ranch and help brand for the day on Saturday. We said "Of course!!" So Denver and I grabbed some branding clothes and headed off to the ranch. We spent the night and woke up early to get saddled and ready for the days work. We first gathered the cattle, then separated the cows and calves to be branded.

Look at that Cowboy! I'm so stinkin' lucky!

Tanner and Denver playing with the dogs...No they were just putting them in the horse trailer to get them out of the way.

Denver and Tanner wrestling the calf, me giving the shots, Cliff cutting, Dad branding, Bill roping along with Colby, Dustin, and Destry.

Here's a video of how it's all done.

Wet 'N Wild

This weekend Denver and I got to go to Wet 'N' Wild. I got off for the day Friday and Denver got off early so we ran down and went to the temple. Then we met up with Brook, Dallas, and Little Houston at the mall and had dinner and watched a movie at their house. Then Saturday moring we got up and headed to North Phoenix to meet up with our friends, the Bushman's, at Wet 'N Wild.

Denver and I with Patricia and Steven.

Our favorite ride. (The yellow one)

Another fun slide that you go down on your stomach. When Denver came down, his slider board flew up and smacked his chin and now its swollen...poor guy!

Our New Rocking Chair

Denver and I went yard selling with Brooklyn a few weeks ago and we found this rocking chair for ten dollars. It definitely needed some work done to it, so Denver and I sanded and refinished it.

Lake Mary & Blue Ridge Reservoir

Early Saturday morning, instead of our alarm clock, one of Denver's mission buddies called us to ask if we wanted to go wake boarding on Lake Mary. Of course we said yes! We were planning on going to Blue Ridge Reservoir anyways so we decided to do both. We started the morning wakeboarding. It was Denver's first time and he did soo good! He got up his second try just like me, my first time.

Beautiful Lake Mary.

After we ate lunch with the group, Denver and I headed off to Blue Ridge Reservoir.

The view just above where Denver and I jumped in.

After our romantic afternoon at Blue Ridge, Denver promised me that we would go and eat at the cafe. He has told me countless stories about eating there while working on the ranch during the summer. The food was great and we had so much fun just enjoying the moment together.

The 4th of July

We had the opportunity to go to the Alder Reunion and the Finch Reunion's over the 4th of July this year. For the Alder Reunion, we stayed in Greer at the Greer Lodge. Denver and I had a nice comfy king size bed where we shared a cabin with Matt, Mitch and Hayley and the Boys, which was connected to my parents cabin. Our room was upstairs next to Mitch and Hayley's so we got to spend quality time with them late at night when nobody else could!

Hayley and I getting ready for dinner.

Mitch and Denver just waking up and hungry for breakfast.

Everyone just getting back from the parade.

My Dad catching a 12 pounder!

We went fishing at Sheep's Crossing.

Denver getting ready to fish.

Jack and I enjoying the moment.

The Finch Reunion was up at Mexican Hay Lake this year. We got to see a lot of family there that we hadn't seen in a long time. Bill and Sandy were in charge of it this year and they planned a bunch of fun games and activities. There was a talent show where Grandma and Grandpa bore their testimonies and talked about our heritage.

Blake, Megan, and I at the talent show.

The beautiful sunset in the meadow.

The husbands and wives competed in a horse shoe tournament. That's me getting ready to throw it.

Kiah and Megan caught frogs while the men were cowboy golfing. Here is Kiah with her 6 frogs that she caught near the water.

The group I was in for cowboy golf.

Look at that Stud! (Meg wrote that)

Denver and I made a jean quilt for his Dad. It was a really late Christmas-Father's Day-Birthday present.

Wicked!

After the 4th of July we got to meet my family down in the valley to watch Wicked. We got to stay and the Arizona Grand Resort for the night and the next morning we got to swim at the water park. Sorry we didn't get any pictures of that. We had a blast getting together with family and spending time with them.
