Then Denver and I packed up Sunday night and headed over to the other side of the mountain to Eagar where we would stay for the next week and a half. We had a great time over there for Christmas. Everyone was there but Jennie and her family which we missed! We really wished they could have been there. We kept thinking that they might just surprise us. But, they didn't. We did however get quite a surprise late one evening, Raynie and Matt and their sweet little family surprised us! They couldn't come down at first because of a big snow storm and we thought they wouldn't be able to come at all but, we were surprised! Denver and I haven't been the best photographers for the past three months but here are a few!

Christmas 2009
Denver and I moved over Christmas Break from Flagstaff just in the nick of time before the HUGE snow storms came through. We loaded our things and headed down the mountain to Thatcher. We dropped off our stuff under my grandpa's shop and headed back up to Payson where we had the Platt Family Christmas Party. We had a great time there getting to see all of our cousins we don't get to see very often. It was great seeing everyone again!

We Moved!
Denver and I have moved over the Christmas break to get out of the snow! No that's not the only reason. We moved to Thatcher to do the NAU Distance Learning and to get closer to family. We don't have internet at our house yet so I don't have any pictures to post. We will be posting updates on Christmas and New Years soon. We sure do love it here in Thatcher so far and we are excited for the new chapter in our lives!

A Happy Snowy 23rd Birthday!
On Monday, I got to come home early from work because it had been snowing all day and we were expecting a blizzard by nightfall. This picture was taken at about three o'clock when we got back to the apartment just before the storm got too bad.

This is what we woke up to Tuesday morning! It was so pretty! This is Denver's truck all burried. We went and did some last minute shopping then came back and dug out the truck.

The view outside our apartment.

The luxury snow cave. Denver was getting it warm for me and after I got in, he dug us out. It looks like there was only about six inches on top of it. Denver said he brushed the snow off four times Monday. It snowed a ton! I think they said we got between 24'' and 28''.

This is the YL Lady which has plowed me through many snow storms while being up in Flagstaff. Denver says it can take you in some places that a 4-wheel drive truck couldn't take you, haha...some places. The Cadi has been a great car!

For my birthday, Denver and I got up and did a little bit of shopping then we came home and Denver studied for his CDL and I got to spend some time trying something I've never tried before. I have a great friend who is an amazing cake decorator and she told me that fondant icing was a piece of cake! So I got a recipe online and looked at cute pictures of fondant cakes and started making my birthday cake. I had so much fun and it was so easy!

Thanksgiving
Denver and I had quite the Thanksgiving this year. We had a ton of fun and Denver even had a ton of pain. This is our Thanksgiving dinner which was absolutely delicious!

Here is Matt sleeping soundly after dinner. Thanksgiving naps are always the best.

Denver and I went with Mitch and Hayley to experience Black Friday. Denver and I didn't buy anything but we helped Mitch and Hayley. We haven't ever been before and we wanted to experience it. Let me tell you, I have never seen so many people at Walmart. We saw people parking across the street at Home Depot and walking to Walmart. There was not a park in the parking lot. We had to park on the side of the parking lot on the dirt. It was quite the experience and I don't think I will go again unless I need a new TV or something. But it was fun!
Denver got to go roping the Saturday after Thanksgiving with Preston and Justin and they had a ton of fun. We were just finishing up when Denver was opening the shoot for Preston and Layton when his finger got caught in a washer and got jammed into a pipe. I didn't post any pictures because they were pretty gruesome. We went back to my parent's house to see if we could work on it without having to go the ER. We thought it was just smashed really good. We decided to get a second opinion from a neighbor who is a doctor and he said it needed to go to the ER. Sure enough Denver needed Ten stitches and we found out the tip of his finger was crushed. Maybe when his finger heals a little bit I'll post a picture.
Here is a picture of Denver after he got his numbing shots which, by his expressions, looked like it didn't feel too well. Look at his hand grabbing onto the gurney for dear life and his half smile.
Here is a picture of Denver smiling for REAL. (His numbing medication finally kicked in) We all eventually had a great time at the ER. All of the nursing students all wanted to come see the carnage, because I guess Denver's finger was real "Emergency Room worthy."
Halloween
I know Halloween was a really long time ago but I got really behind in my postings. This Halloween Denver and I went to Eagar to help with the barn, spend time with family, and go to Blake and Martha's amazing Halloween party.

Hunting/Girl Pary
Back in October, Denver and the boys got to go hunting and the girls got to have a girl party! Denver, Mitch, and Porter went hunting early Friday morning and I snapped a picture of them right before they left. Jackson wanted to go so bad, he didn't want to be left to have to go to the girl party. But, he had to. The requirements to go hunting are:
1. You have to be potty trained
2. You have to know how to walk
3. You have to be weaned from your mom.
4. You have to be able to eat A LOT of JUNK FOOD.
Denver got really lucky that he got to go! ;)

Porter all ready to go hunting...

Dad hunting away...

This is all of us girls at the party. We had some non-alcoholic margaritas and we even had to call the cops! Well we thought we called the cops...it turns out that the police departments number is only one digit off of my grandparents number and we actually called my grandpa. He did assure us however that if he hears that really loud motorcycle again he would "shake him down" for us. We felt really safe after that.

When Denver and I were packing up to leave after the weekend Madison was posing for some pictures. We just love this girl!

Where Our Dreams Began to Come True
Denver and I got to go back to where he proposed to me back on Dec. 6 2008. He proposed to me on the Rim that overlooks Payson on the Crooked H Ranch where he grew up during the summers. It was a beautiful Saturday a few weeks ago and we decided to go to the ranch to see the fall colors and it was gorgeous! I didn't get any pictures of the trees but I did get pictures of Denver and I right at the spot where he proposed. This is where our dreams began to come true! Denver didn't even plan it...but it happened at the perfect time in the perfect way....it was everything that I imagined and simply beautiful! Thank you Denver for making my dreams come true!
