Update!

Wow we have a lot of updating to do! It's been pretty crazy lately with me working but thank goodness that I will be done here at the end of this week! I can't wait to just be a mommy instead of a working mommy.
So I guess I need to start at Thanksgiving! We got to go down to Thatcher for Thanksgiving and we had a blast! We hadn't been home in over 7 months so it felt good to finally be home. We drove through Eagar on the way down to catch Tanner's basketball game. We spent the night and then woke up to go visit Denver's grandparents. We hadn't seen them in a while and we miss visiting them at least once a week like when we use to live in Eagar. After we visited we headed down to Thatcher to surprise my family! They were thinking we weren't going to get there until late that night but we rolled into town about 3:00pm!
The rest of the weekend was spent reminiceing with the family! We enjoyed just talking and catching up with everybody. The only bad part was the flu went around while we were there and I was sick on the way home....it wasn't too bad.
We put up our Christmas....well we actually put it up Nov. 1st because we hadn't ever put a Christmas tree up since we've been married because we have moved every Christmas until now...My mom made me a new tree skirt for my birthday that looked just like Ballard Designs latest and greatest....I loved it!
Later we had a ward Christmas party that was really fun! Daley got to meet Santa....

Then before we knew it...Christmas came Whizzing by! We got to make a surprise appearance at the Platt Family Yearly Christmas Party that is usually held the weekend before Christmas. It was a quick trip but totally worth it! We miss our families so much!
Then it was time for Christmas which we spent in Eagar with the Finch's! We got to spend Christmas Eve sledding in freezing weather! Haha the weather looked nice but it sure had a bite to it. We went up toward Sunrise Ski Resort and pulled off to the side of the road by Greens Peak. Once we got a fire going it was a ton of fun! Blake has a snowmobile that we all got to ride around. After sledding we all went home and warmed up. We had a wonderful and relaxing Christmas! Denver and I had to come home and work our little tales off until New Years because we were so busy at the restaurant. But all is well! We are so glad it is finally 2012 and we are ready and excited for the year...whatever comes our way.
Here we come 2012!

This Little Girl Loves Daddys Hat

Daley has been hilarious lately! She finds Denver's hats (and a lot of other things she can fit on her head) and she will wear them for a while! She put on a hat and wore all the way to the restaurant to show dad!

She has also run into the terrible twos I'm afraid! Haha she likes to fake cry and she can throw quite a fit. But they are kinda cute and funny ;) lately Denver and I will ask her a question and sometimes it sounds like she responds with a full sentence. Haha. She's been talking in gibberish sentences since her first birthday. Like tonight Denver and I asked her if she wanted a toy and she responded to what it sounded like "what is that?" with perfect inflection and everything. Denver and I in the past couple of weeks have been hearing little sentences from Daley and we'll ask each other....."Did it sound it sound like she said .......?" and we both agree .

I'm not doing the best at updating but I might do better now that Denver finally got a phone so we don't have to share one anymore haha. I just found the blogger app and I'm loving it! So we'll see how I do from now on....

What Do You Do With A Rat's Nest?

Daley found the Halloween cookies....

It doesn't matter if you trim it, wash it frequently, brush it frequently.....after every nap it looks like this.

Ward Halloween Party

This past Wednesday was our ward Halloween Party! Daley had so much fun. She got to be our little tiger! Denver and I were cowboy & cowgirl....haha what we are every year! You could tell Daley didn't really know what to do but she was still having fun. I had more pictures but somehow went missing when I was uploading them. When we got there we decorated out door and at some chili then it was time for some Halloween games. After the games it was time to do a trunk-r-treat. Denver and I ran out of candy! We had a great turn out for the ward so it was a good thing(well there were a bunch of kids that kept coming around). Daley had a ball walking around filling her bucket with some candy. It wasn't until the ride home that she found out that it was candy they were giving her. When we went to pull her out of her car seat she had green all over her! She found a gobstopper (I know not a good candy for a girl her age! We took it away from her as soon as we were done taking pictures...)

Denver and I won a costume contest for best dressed couple....haha we won with the other couple that actually dressed up! The Krissman family should have won for the most original family theme...they did little Red Riding Hood. They were adorable!

Here is Denver with his buddies. The guy on the left also won the best dressed couple with his wife....they were dress up as traditional mariachi's....(I think that's what they called it) and the guy on the left was a lumberjack which was part of the Little Red Riding Hood theme. We got the Mexican, the Cowboy, and Joe Dirt!

What We've Been Up to Lately...

Wow, ever since Denver started school again in August we have been busy, busy! Along with Denver starting up his classes again, I started working at the restaurant! It has been fun...I was nervous at first because it had been 6 years since the last time that I worked at a restaurant but it all came back really fast!
Denver had a birthday in late September. We decided to go to Farmington for the day since we had never been there yet. We just went window shopping and had some good chinese food! Well we did the Walmart run too while we were there. I feel bad because we took zero pictures of the day....when we got home we made a German chocolate cake and ate way too much.
This last week we got to teach early morning seminary because the teacher got to go on a nice tropical vacation to Hawaii. We weren't at all jealous because we got to teach seminary for a whole week! ;) It just about killed us with working late at the restaurant and waking up before the sun came up to go teach and then go straight to work. But Denver and I are loving it! The students are great and eager to learn which makes Denver and I excited to wake up and go teach. We got to teach about Joseph of Egypt....and we taught all the way up till he interpreted Pharoh's dream. Our testimonies have been strengthened and we are impressed by the youth in our seminary class! They are amazing.
We also got to go to Payson to my cousin Shayn's wedding. It was so beautiful. We are so excited for her and her new husband. We really enjoyed the weekend being able to see family that we haven't been able to see for a while.
We also got to do a little bit of computer shopping this past weeked and we got us a new computer with a webcam. We have been having fun skyping people! So if you have skype let us know! And since we have a new computer I will be blogging more!

Cussing Daley

I was feeding Daley some chicken noodle soup at the restraunt and she was putting on a show for the people in the dinning area. She's been funny when she is eating. I'll have to put up another video of her "dramatically" putting food in her mouth and then chomping it with her chin way up in the air, her nose scrunched, and her eyes closed. I don't know where she got this one but it cracks me up.

I've watched it a thousand times and crack up. My dad said that it sounds like she says something about pizza and then a bad "B" word....haha

Vegas Vacation

This year we got to go on a little family vacation to Las Vegas. We headed out late Friday afternoon on our way to Raynie's house. Wade, Nanette, and Tanner happened to go visit Raynie the same weekend so we got to hang out with them all day Saturday! We woke up and headed to Boulder City where we ate at a really good restaurant for breakfast and ate our little hearts out. Then we got in our cars and headed to the Hoover Dam to check it out.

Denver and I went to Vegas through Flagstaff so we could drive by the dam on the bridge to see it at night...but you drive over the bridge for 5 seconds and the barrier is ten feet high (it seems like it) so we couldn't even see the dam. I was pretty devastated because we were planning on going through St. George when we went home so we wouldn't see the dam ever again...haha But luckily the whole family wanted to go check it out on Saturday so I was really excited!

We wanted to take a dam tour from a helicopter but we were too late....so we just took the express dam tour! This included a drive over the dam, professional family photos, and if you wanted to see the other side of the dam the chauffeur let you out on one end of the dam and picked you up on the other end.....hence, you had to RUN! Haha....Thanks Raynie for being our chauffeur! Denver was awesome! As soon as we got out of the car....Denver ran and snapped a couple of pictures, then we ran, then he took a couple more....then we caught up to Raynie! We were cracking up the whole time and people I'm sure thought we were crazy! Especially because it was probably 110 degrees.

The two little girls were asleep so this is a pic of everyone minus Daley and Paisley.

After the Dam tour....we went to the strip and checked out a hotel/casino (I can't remember the name of it). This is a pic of Daley and Denver in the mall part of the hotel.

After shopping around at the strip, we went to the infamous Pawn Stars shop. It was fun going inside and seeing it in real life. It's a lot smaller in real life than what they make it look like on T.V. We didn't see anyone famous but we saw a guy that sold a car on Pawn Stars. Our brother-in-law, Matt, had a conversation with him and had a cool story. It was the most expensive car they (Pawn Stars) have ever bought on the show. Watch the show and you might see the guy. The picture of him is down below.

After we went to the pawn shop we headed back to Raynie and Matt's (well we stopped at a furniture store and the mall on the way) where we had pizza and chilled until we all went to bed. Wade, Nanette, and Tanner had to head back home from the weekend when we woke up Sunday morning. We hung out with Raynie and Matt all Sunday morning before they went to church. Then we headed out to go check into our hotel.

So here is a funny story....when we got to the hotel/casino it was like being on the freeway. It was a one way and there were certain exits you had to take and it was CRAZY! I've never seen anything like it. The entrance where you park your car to check in was sooooo wide and there were a thousand people and their luggage walking around. Denver and I had to try a few times to figure out where we were suppose to go. We finally talked to a guy and he said, "you guys are actually at The Signature which if you follow the signs you will get there." Haha we had no idea... Two little small town kids....we were so relieved when we got to The Signature because it was smaller and less crazy!

We stayed at the MGM Grand....well it was actually called The Signature at the MGM Grand but they were just as nice or probably nicer....the reasons because: 1. It was non-smoking 2. You weren't in the middle of the hustle and bustle at the actual MGM 3. Our hotel had valet parking included 4. When we checked in, it was like a regular hotel...not crazy busy in the lobby 5. It had a really nice pool. I think the only bad part of the hotel was that it didn't have a continental breakfast....but luckily we had cereal on hand and some milk that we borrowed from Daley.

This is a pic of the towers we stayed in....we were in the middle one.

Here we are in the main lobby of the MGM....I wish I would have taken a picture of our lobby so you could see the difference.

We mainly stayed in the room and had fun swimming! Daley is a pro! She went underwater and would come up clapping...I have a video but it was the end of the day so she wasn't clapping much afterward.

Daley is telling us about how she loves to swim and go underwater here....

We loved this pool because there was a really shallow place where Daley could play around in. The MGM had a nice water park too but we went and checked it out and it was CRAZY BUSY. So we enjoyed hanging out in this pool...the pic above looks like it was always busy but most of the time everyone was in the hot tub and we had the pool to ourselves...it must have been happy hour when we took the pic.

Monday morning we woke up and headed out to check out the strip. Daley had a ton of fun in the m&m store.

She zonked after about an hour on the strip...Denver and I had fun going into expensive stores and checking out prices for clothes and such. It's crazy how much people would pay for stuff like that....It was getting really hot so we decided to head back to the room and go swimming for the day.

We were across the street from New York, New York.

Here are pics of us in the room chillin'. We went down to the food court that night and got some Haagen Daz before we went to bed and tried to see the lions.....they already went to bed too soooo we stayed at the MGM and didn't see the lions! Crazy I know.....

Daley was a crazy girl in the room and at night she would just crash because she was so tired!

We had fun playing on these escalator walkways. Denver told me stories about how evertime he came to Vegas he would run on these and so we did it and it was hilarious! Daley even did it in her stroller with us.

We were sad when our adventure had to end. We packed up Tuesday morning and headed home. There was a really whindy road in between Hurricane and St. George and Daley just happened to wake up when we got into the turns...she was bored so I handed her a book (not thinking) and just 7 miles out of St. George she threw up everywhere!!!!! Haha it was aweful, Denver and I almost threw up too when we smelled it. Haha I guess there is always a first...I haven't ever really thought about when our kids get car sick....it was always the brothers and sisters we were worried about.

Here is Daley all cleaned up eating and waiting for us to finish cleaning up the car.

We had such a fun and relaxing trip throw up and all!
