This last Saturday, Denver and I were woken up by a phone call from good 'ol cousin Roger telling us that he just got a call from the Sheriff telling him that the horses had gotten out and were up on the road to Fry Mesa. Denver and I hurried and got dressed and then Roger and Chad came and picked us up to go and catch the horses. Long story short, the horses ended up running back onto the horse pasture and we didn't have to catch any of them. We decided that the horses probably just got really hungry and remembered where they got fed everyday. So for the rest of the morning and part of the afternoon, Denver and I got to spend some time with Roger and Chad finding supplies and fixing the fence. Denver loved every second of it! I really enjoyed it too but I got kinda overheated sitting out in the sun. Being pregnant is really weird....I found a Gatorade in the ice chest and sat in the shade of the Ranger to cool off. I was just fine after I found the shade. I really enjoyed seeing Denver fix fence for the first time! Fixing fence is right up his alley because he did it for many summers working up on the ranch. I know he misses working up there. I feel bad we didn't bring the camera for the morning to show the finished product, but man....he sure knows how to fix fence! I love my mountain man!
(Just on a little side note...I've decided that I like mustard. We ate some hamburgers after we fixed the fence and they had mustard on them. I really didn't mind mustard in the first place but I would never request mustard to be put on my hamburger. But after Saturday, I'm pretty sure I'll be putting mustard on ALL my hamburgers! I'm getting so old.... :))
After we finished the fence Denver and I went home and decided it was time to do a date night. We haven't had one in a while, so we went up to Walmart and bought some hot dogs, chips, and sodas. Then we got the Prowler and headed up to the horse pasture. We were worried that our donkey Ira Hays was going to come find us and eat our hot dogs but he didn't thank goodness! Here are some pictures of our date night at the horse pasture! We love random Saturdays like these!

I didn't even know you had a blog, I'll have to add you to my stalker list.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like so much fun! I miss that stuff. I have become such a city girl! My poor kids don't know about cousins calling for help, horses, donkeys, broken fences, and heading out into the middle of the desert to eat hotdogs. Wish we lived closer!
ReplyDeleteDid you eat mustard on your hot dog? I normally don't like hot dogs but they have been tasting great since I've been pregnant. I have come to the conclusion I really enjoy the mustard more than the hot dog!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun Sat...glad you had a fun date to!!! Oh and I love mustard to:) Love you guys, excited we get to see you this weekend!
