Aunt Madi Came to Visit!
The beginning of October Aunt Madi got to come visit us here in Kayenta! My parents went to Tennessee to go visit my brother and his family so Madi stayed with us for a couple of weeks and man did we have fun! We had some pizza and salad and read lots of books and watched a few Disney movies and we all did each other's hair. We also spent a lot of time at the park which we all enjoyed! It was so nice to be able to spend good quality one on one time with her again like we use to before I graduated from high school. Daley and Madi get along so well and we aren't surprised at this a bit because they both love all of the same things like hot sauce and ranch. They both shared their books and crackers which is a miracle haha! We even got to hang out with Madi during General Conference when Sister Burton talked about her and my cousin Alex's story of completing Madi's Young Woman Recognition. Watch the video on youtube it is called "For Madison." Madi had the biggest smile on her face when she heard the story it was so neat to see!
We sure enjoyed Madi staying with us and we all pouted for a couple of days after she left because we missed her so much! She left a big whole in our home. We can't wait for her so come stay with us again!

Happy Birthday Denver!
My Studly man turned another year older this year and we get to be the same age for about 2 months yet again....haha we don't have to sit and do the math to figure out how old each other are. It is the weirdest thing having to do the math to see how old you are. I guess now is the time in our lives when birthdays become just another day! Haha such as Denver's Birthday this year. I feel bad but his birthday landed on the weekend and since we have been making frequent trips to Flagstaff and being at the doctors office for three hours really doesnt give us time to go out to a fancy restaurant like we usually try to do on our birthdays. But he did get to go to Panda Express....which is his absolute favorite so I dont feel so bad about it. He also got to have a whole German Chocolate Cake all to himself. Since I'm pregnant, Sweets don't really sound good to me most of the time. So I'm sure he was grateful that I was never craving cake for the week. He also got his presents early...which I'm sure made him happy. He went to the mail and opened boxes he wasn't suppose to! Haha
We had a relaxing good day on his birthday which is nice to have! I'm so thankful that I got to marry the man of my dreams! I still remember our first date way back in 2003 for the Homecoming Dance, he was such a gentleman and the best looking guy that I had ever seen! I remember not wanting the night to end because we had such a fun time together. Life never gets old being with him...He is always making me laugh, keeping me on my toes with his strange sleep habits, and I love hearing about his dreams of our future....even about his future office! ;) I'm so glad I waited 4 years for this guy! Life is great when you get to spend it with your best friend.
I love you more Denver!

Labor Day Weekend
This year we got to go to the Alder Family Reunion on Mt. Graham for Labor Day! This was a little different than what we have been doing since we have been married which we went to the Brown Family Reunion on Denver's side but my family started this tradition last year and we promised we would come this year. We are excited for this new, fun tradition! We will just be having to switch off every other year which isn't too bad. My parents and Madi scoped out this spot which was a different spot than they went to last year and we made it into our own little campsite! It was perfect!
We got a few sprinkles on of the days we were there and we all got to break out our umbrellas. Here is one of Madi and her stolen umbrella.
Daley looks so cute in her raincoat and her umbrella. She had a blast with it.
Here are the men and the kiddos cutting up some firewood.
This was the cool hang out spot for the little girls. Daley had so much fun playing around the potties and the trailor. All you need to entertain your kids while camping are some porter johns! You don't need jumping castles or clowns for birthday parties...just some good ol' portable potties haha!!
Daley was the time keeper making sure nobody took longer than 30 seconds in the bathroom. She would knock when your time was up! Haha...jk. But she sure had fun bugging people while they were busy doing their business.
My Nana and Papa Platt even got to come to the reunion! It was nice to be able to see and spend time with them since we dont get to see them as often as we would like to! We love you guys!
My Dad was the head chef at camp! Man can he make some mean potatoes!!!
Daley got to go on a few horse back rides. She loved them! She even decided to take a nap on one of the rides with my cousin Ashlee. I wish I had a picture but I cant find one.
My Aunt Tonia and Uncle Joe got to come up too. We felt bad though because they couldn't find our secret hiding spot and they spent their whole afternoon looking for us. Denver and I went out to make a phone call and happened to find them right before they headed down the mountain. They made it just in time for dinner!
I can't seem to figure out how to fix this picture either but I love it anyways. (It looks great in my photo viewer program) This is a picture of my two grandpas. My Papa Platt (my dad's dad) and my Gandpa Alder (my mom's dad). Two of the truest most amazing cowboys anyone could ever know! They are such examples to my little family.
I could have swore that I had a great picture of my Alder Grandparents but I guess I didn't . This was the best one i could find and it's still a good one but just not the one i was looking for.
I love this picture of my mom, Nana, and Grandma B. These are the most amazing ladies you could ever know! I just love them to pieces and I hope to someday become a woman like them!
My knight in shining armor!
All the girls from the Platt family! We miss you Hayley! (and Mitch, Porter, and Jack!)
